Always Feel Tired
You may be experiencing fragmented sleep, or periods of wakefulness that prevent you from reaching or maintaining the deep stages of sleep that restore your body. Though you think you're getting 8 solid hours, you may actually be getting only 6.
To see if common sleep disruptions are affecting you, keep a sleep journal, like the one found at sleepfoundation.org. After 2 weeks, look over the diary for common patterns, such as excessive caffeine consumption. If you're still having problems after a couple months, talk with your doctor about being evaluated for a sleep disorder, such as sleep apnea, in which breathing problems constantly interrupt your slumber.
