    What is Numpad?

Often there is a question on the network: what is this numpad key or what is numpad. So, numpad is not a key, Numpad is the keyboard section on the right. The keys on this section are from 0 to 9, as well as the signs of addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, etc. This section of the keyboard is convenient for entering numbers and looks like the keyboard of a regular calculator

If you see somewhere a label to a key similar to Numpad ..., then this means that the key is located on this section of the keyboard. That is, if you met somewhere the inscription "Numpad 1" and you are interested in the question, numpad 1 what it is, then this inscription indicates the key "1" located on the right of the Numpad section.

To enable this section of the keyboard, you must press the "Num Lock" key, the indicator on the keyboard will light up, warning that "Numpad" is on. When Numpad is off, the buttons in this section change their functionality.

On notebook keyboards, this section may be missing.
