    What is the joke?

The word "joke" refers to slang vocabulary and is very often used by young people in speech. However, it is sometimes difficult to figure out what a joke is in this or that situation. We give several options for the meaning of this word in different contexts.

    • Something funny, that is a reason to laugh. For example: "Do not believe what a joke yesterday Bald threw out!", "I have a friend like that - a walking joke that he will not say - everyone is rolling around laughing."
    • A joke: if someone is being played out, making fun of someone, then this is considered a joke. Ideas for good jokes can be found in another article on our site: How to pin on a friend.
    • A synonym for the word "essence", so to speak, is the most important thing in a particular event. So, for example, if you want to express the main idea, then adolescents will more appreciate the expression: “And the whole joke is that ...” than “The most important thing in everything that happened is that ...”. Example: “Everything would be fine, but the whole joke is that our trip to the mountains ended in a lost backpack and a broken leg.”

In addition to the popular slang, the word "joke" also has a different meaning - a stake hammered into the ground for tying animals or a boat pier.
